Dear,
Welcome to the seventh International Film Festival for Cultural, Spiritual and Human Values - "The Intercession of the Virgin Mary", which is the only one of its kind in our country. This year it is online from December 17 to 25, 2022. The festival program includes documentary and feature films dedicated to cultural, spiritual heritage and humanity, as well as historical and biographical films. The festival was founded in 2016 and has so far been supported by 12 Embassies in the country and numerous companies. Starting this year, the festival is growing into a multimedia project under the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos and with publishing, music concerts, exhibitions and other cultural and artistic events. These would take place throughout the year, according to the possibilities. This year, within the framework of the festival, for the first time, the book by the author, M.Sc. Mile Ginovski, “How I Saw the Mother of God-Theotokos”, a testimony to the miracle of the appearance of the Mother of God in the Sogle Monastery, near Bogomila, will be promoted. The promoters of the book are Prof. Dr. Jovan Takovski, Archpriest - Stavrophorus and Prof. Dr. Cane Mojanovski. The promotion will be held in the Cathedral Church “St. Clement of Ohrid”, on the feast of the Conception of St. Anne with the Most Holy Theotokos on December 22 at 7:30 p.m. The book was promoted on Mount Athos, and now for the first time here too. We invite everyone to attend this spiritual event. The Honorary President of the festival is Prof. Dr. Jovan Takovski, Archpriest - Stavrophorus, awarded the gold medal “St. Clement of Ohrid” at the state level. The festival's program council consists of: Antonio Mitrikeski, professor at the Faculty of Theology and director, winner of numerous international awards, Gjoko Gjorgevski, dean of the Faculty of Theology "St. Clement of Ohrid" in Skopje and former Ambassador to the Vatican, Vladimir Angelov, senior filmologist and Director of the Cinematheque of the Republic of Macedonia and Zorica Kostovska, founder and director of the festival, former 10-year member of the International Academy of Television Sciences and Arts in New York - Emmy Awards, TV and film producer, dipl. diplomat and dipl. theologian. The organization is of Top World TV production from Skopje, which was founded in 1994, whose determination is to foster socially beneficial, spiritual, ethical and humane projects. Otherwise, the festival does not have a commercial character, all film screenings and programs are free. Our mission and goal is to spread spiritual values among people and to educate young generations in the direction of goodness, morality, ethics, sacrifice, love and spirituality! The patrons of the festival this year are, traditionally, the Russian Embassy in Skopje, Neofit-Russian Production and the Lukoil company, who helped us and supported the Russian films at the festival, the Jewish Community with support for the film The Story of Cherry, the Film Festival "Vedenje dushe" from Serbia, with the provision of films from Serbia, the Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Macedonia Mrs. Biljana Damjanovska-Jancevska for the support of films from RTRS, Republika Srpska. Traditionally, the European University awards free education - a four-year scholarship for the most valuable volunteer - helper of the festival. We express our great gratitude to TV 5 and TV Alfa for supporting the translation and subtitling of a certain number of films. Also, many thanks for the English translation of the films “Symbols” by Aleksandar Mladenovski from Sydney and Marija Dragović from the European University in Skopje, as well as Marija Peeva for the graphic design. The Story of a Cherry – the film is a moving testimony of neurosurgeon Dr. Tuvij Jusifović from Israel, about the dramatic events in 1943 and 1944, when the citizens of Pirot in Serbia, risking their lives, saved several Jewish children and families, whom the Bulgarian occupiers planned to hand over to the infamous Treblinka camp.
